Course content

The course was composed of 2h lecture and 2h handson tutorials per week.

Course Objectives

This course introduces students to the theoretical foundations of solid-state physics with an emphasis on materials properties. Topics covered include heat capacity models (Einstein and Debye), the free electron model, phonons and the linear chain model, band theory, and electronic structure of solids.
